Thankfully today was a day where I accomplished some small things that I'd like to record for posterity.
My sister-in-law doesn't know how to sew (yet) and asked me to add some trim to a couple of her dresses more than 4? 5? months ago, which is so embarrassing. She's been over to my house and knows that I don't spend every waking hour cleaning my house or doing office work - my house is always dirty and cluttered and she's usually at the office when I go by to get postcards to address - so, I have no good excuse for why I didn't just hunker down and get 'er done. Oh well. At least she has them now, while the weather is starting to get nice.
The finished product!
It sticks out a little oddly at the bottom, doesn't it? I don't really mind it, and I don't think Theresa will either.
While I was at my sewing machine I also decided to put a couple of blocks together for Theresa's wedding present that is also overdue - they got married in November...oops!
I've never put together a quilt before, so I'm flying by the seat of my pants. My aunt is a very prolific quilter and I wish we lived closer because I'd be gleaning her quilting wisdom in person instead of having to call her on the phone whenever I have a question. No phone calls today, but I'm sure there will be many many more once I start the binding.
Not picture worthy is the fact that I did a load of dishes, as our kitchen was starting to smell like sardines, and I found a pair of red pants (!).
And now I'm exhausted. What will tomorrow have in store, I wonder?
*Oh yes! I also won a gift certificate to a cool website called StuckOnYou.com, thanks Grace!
